Your Responsibilities:

 

Financial Reporting

  • Enhance the financial reporting process for smart Europe and its subsidiaries to ensure a standardised approach.
  • Manage and steer the intercompany reporting process with HQ offshore.
  • Lead and manage the financial reporting activities to ensure accurate financial statements are presented each month and additionally at year-end closing.
  • Manage the Financial Accounting Team in preparing and submitting required financial reporting pack to parent company and external auditors for year-end closing.
  • Be the point of contact for the external auditors for the preparation and finalisation of the group reporting pack and local GAAP financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the Treasury and Tax Team to ensure all accounting information required for taxation filing / compliance are compiled and readily available.

 

Guidelines & Documentation

  • Prepare and update internal accounting guidelines / policies.
  • Steer internal business partners in ensuring internal guidelines are known and observed to fulfil financial reporting obligations.
  • Develop and ensure internal controls and regulatory requirements are adhered to in regards to record keeping.

 

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Lead and manage the team for on the job development, learning & development.
  • Set annual goals for the team members based on company targets each year.
  • Ensure regular feedback sessions held with team members in accordance with internal HR guidelines.

 

What you bring:

  • You bring a bachelors or master’s degree in a Business Administration, Accounting or comparable Finance related degree
  • 5+ years operative experience in finance area; experience in the automotive industry is advantageous
  • 3+ years of team leadership experience
  • Proficient legal knowledge about finance processes in sales and distribution
  • Working knowledge of SAP (user and configuration) essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical skills   
  • Organizational skills (ability to manage multiple tasks)
  • Fluent in English
