About the Job:

This position sits within the European R&D support team and is responsible for ensuring the registration of vehicles in each one of our European markets. The successful candidate will work closely with smart China’s R&D team to gather the necessary data and information.

As a Homologation CoC and Registration Data Specialist you will be responsible for enabling the CoC data in both electronic (IVI file) and printed. You will have to work in close cooperation with the HQ RD team, market representatives and suppliers. In addition, you will support the homologation team in other internal activities necessary to maintain type approval.

Responsibilities:

• Collect relevant homologation data from the approvals (WVTA and STA) for the CoC issuance (both printed and IVI file)
• To improve current CoC issuance system and system management and maintenance together with the IT provider.
• Ensure approvals (STA + WVTA) correctness before submitting to authorities.
• Supporting Homologation Head to ensure implementation of CoC data management system in coordination with a dedicated European service provider and HQ in China.
• You’ll be responsible for managing the database system.
• Single point of contact for Homologation and Registration related topics. Coordinate and communicate with Sales entities.
• Attend to Launch Planning event to report registration capability status.
• Implement bi-monthly Homologation newsletter.
• Implement and update relevant department instructions and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
• Organise the yearly homologation conference with Sales companies and homologation team.

What you bring:

• You bring a bachelor’s degree or higher education qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• You bring strong knowledge and interest in vehicle approval data management (CoC-data, IVI file and local registration outputs).
• You must have work experience (+ 5 years) in homologation within a Automotive OEM.
• You bring working experience with MS office tools i.e Excel, PPT (PowerShell scripting is advantageous).
