The Intern is operationally responsible for a subject of the supply chain within the logistics team like ocean transportation, VPC steering, EU-distribution, logistics quality and/or logistics IT. This includes being responsible in the mode of transport and give orientation and transpareny to all other team members. As well the person is coordinating in his responsibility with all interfaces within and outside of smart EU
Task description -
- Monitor and support the achievement of monthly retail targets by ensuring adequate vehicle availability at the market level.
- Coordinate special order requests from markets and communicate requirements to third-party logistics providers (3PL), ensuring appropriate vehicle preparation and handling
- Validate market-specific leasing rates by ensuring accurate and timely data exchange between leasing partners and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain visibility of unsold stock (group inventory) and provide regular reporting and insights to relevant stakeholders
- Identify, analyze, and support the resolution of errors within order processing workflows using ERP systems, contributing to process optimization and reliability.
- Extract, analyze, and compile historical used vehicle data from the Transport Management System (TMS), providing structured insights to internal stakeholders for decision-making.
Qualification -
Education
- Student in Logistics, Business Administration or comparable education
Knowledge / Functional Expertise
- Very good logistics knowledge – preffered in Outbound Logistics
- IT skills - SAP/ Transport Management Systems / Microsoft Office especially Excel and Power BI
- Languages: Fluent in English (speaking and writing) - other languages especially German and Chinese are beneficial
