About the Job:

• Steer Internal Control System in smart Europe that serves the targets Effectiveness and Efficiency of Operations, Reliability of Financial Reporting, Compliance with Laws & Regulations.
• Further Develop Enterprise Risk Management that brings controls on the company´s activities and enables robustness of targets achievements (strategic, business, operational, financial).
• Take over accountability and run a combined and flexible the Internal Control and Enterprise Risk Management System that supports all stakeholders and company needs.

Your Responsibilities:

Run a sustainable and flexible Internal Control System

• Enable yourself to fulfill your task by gaining deep understanding of E2E Business Processes and derive internal controls touchpoints with a clear finance & controlling focus.
• Act in open-minded and productive collaboration with the functions of smart Europe and understand deeply their main processes. Give clear guidance on what should be done and support them in the implementation of the main ICS tasks.
• Provide transparency to the functions on new regulations that need to be implemented in their functions by providing trainings with hands on part and mentality.
• Provide action-oriented reporting to Business Partners and Top Management on Internal Control status and deficiencies that include understandable measures and due dates.

Further Development of Enterprise Risk Management  

• Build a risk aware culture across smart Europe
• Analyse current reported risks and accompany risk owner in identifying potential impactful new risks.
• Lead reviews with risk owners (function & entity-wise) and challenge risk owners on the effectiveness of the mitigation measures set to mitigate any particular risk.
• Support risk owners in understanding their risk portfolio and implementing mitigation measures by providing supportive trainings.
• Responsible to constantly develop, improve and maintain risk management tools & systems.
• Provide risk reporting with focus on financial impact and influencable items for Top Management.

What You Bring:

Education

Degree in economics or comparable education
 

Professional Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in ICS, ERM position or Internal Audit position

Knowledge / Functional Expertise

Deep experience in Internal Control & Enterprise Risk Management

Experience with Internal control processes and improvement on corporate processes

Experience in SOX Internal Control and Compliance is a plus

IT Systems: Microsoft Office (expert level Excel mandatory, Power Point helpful); user knowledge in BI solutions as Power-BI useful
Languages: Excellent English skills (both written and spoken) mandatory, German or any other European language is a plus.
