This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Market Management professional eager to drive the commercial success of smart Europe across key markets by connecting European strategy with local market execution. We are looking for a pragmatic, hands-on sales team member who can combine strategic thinking with execution, not a technocrat, but someone who drives results through collaboration, ownership, and commercial instinct.


Task Description
1. You contribute to the acheivement of smart Europe's overall sales targets by steering the commercial performance of the assigned market cluster and ensuring alignment with European sales objectives.

2. You act as the central interface between smart Europe and the assigned markets, ensuring alignment on sales priorities, operational execution and strategic initiatives. 
3. You monitor key sales performance indicators and support markets in identifying opportunities to improve sales performance and margin development. As part of it, regular forecast and planning activities are key. 
4. You support the implementation of market-specific sales strategies and ensure that commercial initiatives, campaigns and market activities are effectively executed in alignment with European objectives. 
5. You act as a first escalation point for market-related commercial topics and coordinate with relevant functions to resolve issues efficiently. 
6. You work closely with departments such as Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Product Management to ensure smooth execution of market activities. 
7. You combine a hands-on, pragmatic approach with strong commercial judgment to solve challenges quickly and effectively 

What you bring along

 

Education

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a comparable field.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, sales operations, market/region management or a comparable commercial role, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Experience working with European markets, ideally within structures involving legal entities and agent networks.

Knowledge / Functional Expertise

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, performance indicators and market developments to derive actionable insights.
  • Experience in sales planning, forecasting and performance management.
  • Understanding of European automotive markets and sales channel dynamics.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to structure complex information and translate it into clear business recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German, Chinese, or other languages are a plus).
