About the role

This position will be supporting smart Europe’s R&D department who are responsible for all Vehicle testing related activities in Europe. As a Senior, EV Charing Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for performing all the charging related test in the Europe.

 

In this position which reports to the head of testing, you will have the opportunity to learn new technologies and help to shape the future of electric vehicle charging solutions.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Professional experience in the Electrical Engineering field, preferable in OEM 
  • Good knowledge in vehicle charging protocols e.g. for autocharge or plug & charge
  • You will be responsible for coordinating with our suppliers in order to perform AC, DC charging tests that ensure the AC and DC compatibility across Europe
  • You will perform the dynamic road testing in Europe to ensure charging quality and standards of our vehicles for the market launch and generate the relevant test reports
  • You will prepare and execute charging lab tests and generate respective test reports for evaluation
  • You will continuously provide the technical countermeasures to improve the charging performance for AC and DC

 

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree of vehicle engineering background, preferable in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Automotive engineering field
  • 3+ years professional experience in the Electrical Engineering field, preferable in OEM
  • 1+ years professional vehicle integration testing experiences or vehicle diagnosis experiences
  • Knowledge of the vehicle diagnosis tools (e.g., DSA, VDS, Geely OTA platform, CANOE)
  • Knowledge of the EE architecture and CAN, LIN, Flexray
  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Knowledge of project management principles including use of project management tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Chinese language or other European language is a plus
  • Must have a valid EU driving license and solid driving skills
  • Must be able and willing to travel when required
