About this role
As a Senior Accounting Specialist (f/m/d), you will be responsible for the accurate accounting and reporting for single and group closing in line with IFRS standards. You’ll help shape accounting processes, ensure compliance, and serve as a key point of contact for complex business topics across departments.
Your responsibilities
- Coordination and oversight of month-end closing and group consolidation processes
- Provision of methodological guidance for consolidation procedures
- Preparation of financial reports, including single-entity and consolidated group financial statements
- Handling internal and external reporting requirements for all European legal entities
- Collaboration with external partners and shared service centres in the preparation of local statutory financial statements
- Support for internal and external audits, including liaison with Headquarters in China
- Key accounting contact and partner for cross-functional departments
- Evaluation and application of accounting policies and standards
Operational Tasks
- Serve as a key accounting contact for group consolidation and financial reporting matters
- Define and implement internal accounting controls to ensure high-quality financial closings
- Collaborate closely with the entire accounting team and Headquarter in China
- Actively participate in ongoing projects, including the group consolidation initiative
What you bring along
Education
- Degree in Business Administration or a comparable field
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or a similar qualification is an advantage
Professional Experience
- Several years of experience in audit-related consulting, external auditing, or group accounting
- Experience in a capital market-oriented or automotive company is highly desirable
Knowledge / Functional Expertise
- Strong understanding of international accounting standards, particularly IFRS 10, IFRS 2, IFRS 15, IFRS 16
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office (especially Excel)
