Your responsibilities

  • You implement and execute appropriate control environment and processes to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • You proactively prevent maverick buy by training stakeholders on regularly basis
  • You inform about lacking governance or process deficiencies
  • You ensure efficient and effective sourcing processes securing optimal pricing for defined quality, innovation, timelines, and quantities
  • You enforce smart Europe GmbH’s legal requirements (e.g., Terms and Conditions)
  • You act as first point of contact with external third party
  • You ensure Procurement representations in relevant projects
  • You ensure effective application of negotiation tools and strategies
  • You support head of procurement in developing and implementing smart Europe GmbH's Procurement strategies together with the business partners,
  • You lead to develop supply chain sustainability framework and relevant tools
  • You conduct supplier risk assessment and on-site audit when risk is identified
  • You support suppliers to improve the sustainability performance by on-time closing the corrective action plan
  • You help to reinforce the sustainability presence of smart Europe GmbH in automotive industry


What you bring along

  • You have a university degree in Economics, Management or Engineering / Technical area or comparable
  • You have 3+ years of experience in purchasing or comparable
  • You are familiar with purchase to pay process
  • You have working experience in multination / multicultural projects
  • You have experience in automotive spare parts or sustainability audit preferred
  • You have IT-knowledge (MS Office + SAP MM module)
  • You have legal knowledge (commercial law, product liability)
  • You have the ability to understand technical details of relevant commodities
  • You have the knowledge of other procurement solutions (e.g., Ariba) is advantageous
  • You have a proven track of excellent negotiation results
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking
  • You have strong business acumen to quickly understand and act effectively in complex business scenarios
  • You are proficient in English at negotiation level both in writing and verbally. Other languages are a plus
