Task description:

 

Technical Services & Information Tasks

  • Coordinate the development and provision of high-quality technical services, such as  Repair-/, Service-/, diagnosis-/, retrofit methods, procedures and guidelines, labour times, Spare parts, special tools & workshop equipment and chemical products to ensure vehicle repair- and serviceability
  • Handle the end-to-end lifecycle of service technical information, from content creation-, validation-, translation-, and continuous improvement to final publication (e.g., Repair procedures, Guidelines, Technical/-Service Journals and Bulletins, Owner’s Manuals, Retrofit- and installation instructions)
  • Ensure a smooth resolution of task related process- and system support tickets on level 2, if needed in collaboration with central functions at smart Automobile in China
  • Support the development and implementation of additional service solutions and concepts to support strategic initiatives (e.g., Accident Repair, Serivce/-Warranty contracts)
  • Coordinate the elaboration and provision of Diagnosis,-/ Repair- and Maintenance Information (RMI) to Independent Market Operators according to the legal requirements
  • Handle requests from Independent Market Operators and regulatory authorities, and maintain a continuous communication to ensure timely and accurate support
  • Coordinate related IT-Systems (e.g., smart Execution Desk (SED), Technical Information System (TIS), to ensure availabiliity of Technical Services and Information to Authorized Retailers as well as Independent Market Operators

 

 

Organizational and Cross-Functional Tasks

  • Collaborate closely with smart Automobile Service Engineering and R&D teams in China, as well as smart Europe’s Market Management, Product Management, and IT functions, on all matters related to technical services and information
  • Maintain structured and transparent communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, traceability, and continuous process improvement
  • Establish and drive effective solutions in a dynamic and complex environment characterized by diverse cultures, mindsets, and organizational layers

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:
 

Education

  • Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or comparable technical field
  • High voltage qualification according to  DGUV (or equivalent) is a plus
 

 

 

Professional Experience 

  • Proven Experience in the an automotive After-Sales environment, e.g., Service-/Repair Workshop, OEM or automotive supplier in the relevant field (8+ years)
  • Experience within an international and cross-cultural environment, ideally gained within the automotive sector (3+ years)

 

 

 

Knowledge / Functional Expertise 

  • Deep understanding of vehicle technical vehicle systems as well as Retail/Workshop/Service/Repair processes
  • Good authoring and writing skills and familiarity with the creation of technical information and guidelines 
  • Sound understanding of customer needs and the overall Aftersales business principles
  • Project setup- and management experience
  • Advanced MS-Office skills and knowledge of IT-applications in the area of responsibility (Technical Information Systems, Parts Catalogue, Diangosis Systems)
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills, a second European language is a plus
