The VAT Specialist is responsible for all operational and organizational VAT topics. Besides managing all VAT reports, statements, and declarations with support from external consultants/advisors, the Specialist will also take the lead in the implementation of necessary systems e.g. for compliance and workflows.

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • You lead the information gathering and submissions to external advisors for the preparation of the VAT returns and filings.
  • You assist in ensuring compliance with the VAT requirements in the countries with a smart legal entity as well as consulting our internal business units on VAT-related issues.
  • You coordinate VAT payments with the Accounting team.
  • You assist with the monitoring of import VAT obligations and deadlines (e.g. in the context of importing goods in the EU).
  • You assist the Accounting team with the VAT review of the transactions (e.g., month-end closing).

 

What you bring along

 

  • Your home turf is Taxation with a focus on VAT.
  • You have a VAT working experience of at least 2 years.
  • You have successfully completed your university degree in economics or law, ideally with a special focus on taxation or finance.
  • Ideally, you have experience in a sales & distribution context and/or in the automotive industry, and/or in a joint venture context combined with good knowledge in import and export business.
  • A highly analytical mindset with superb problem-solving skills combined with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • You are a team player by nature and the whole organization benefits from your contribution.
  • You are fluent in German and English; any other European language is a plus.
