About the role:
We’re excited to be recruiting for a Sales Planning & Logistics Manager based in Madrid, Spain. This role is responsible for leading operational planning and business operations within our Spanish market and ensures alignment with wider European guidelines.
The successful candidate in this role will oversee smart Spain’s annual and monthly sales volume forecasts, manage our vehicle logistics between B2B and B2C channels, and collaborating closely with sales, product, and logistics teams at local and European levels.
Responsibilities (include not limited to):
- You will lead the sales volume Operational Planning (OP) process within our Spanish market in line with to the overall European guideline and business strategy
- You are responsible for the monthly forecast, ensuring OP target achievement as well as creating market-based forecasting/reporting to support sales team
- You will ensure sufficient production and stable stock levels according to targets based on market trends including stock in the local distribution centers and agent locations
- You will have close collaboration with smart's Head of Sales, Market Managers and Product Teams for volume allocation and troubleshooting where necessary
- You will be the point of contact and lead the coordination of activities when there is any risk of delays/disruption to our services
- You will monitor logistics service providers´ performance to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and provide efficient feedback to EU HQ logistics teams
- You will manage the coordination of Logistics damage handling, in terms of repairing, claim and vehicle replacement if needed or any special case
- Share best practices and local initiatives with colleagues in country (Spain) and across our European region
What you bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a comparable degree Professional Experience
- 3+ years of experience preferred in Planning and Logistics, Market Management or similar area Experience in automotive industry would be beneficial
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes within Europe
- Experience in Sales Operational Planning, inventory and order management
- Strong experience with MS Office SAP ERP and Salesforce
- An excellent team player and a self-efficient champion who’s able to work on multiple cases simultaneously
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills with
- Ability to understand new proposals/issues/risks quickly and make wise decisions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish; fluent in English; other European language is a plus
