What makes this job special?

This role is our key to the overall success of smart in Sweden. As CEO you are responsible for reaching the national targets in sales, customer satisfaction and annual budgets. You are the mind behind the yearly business operating plan and business development roadmap. You act as the first brand ambassador in Sweden, sharing our vision, mission, and culture.


  • Set-up mid- to long-term business plans in alignment with the European HQ to ensure a sustainable development of the Sweden organization
  • Establish a positive-by-design team atmosphere that enables employees to perform and learn in cross-functional & agile teams and reach ambitious goals both in business and personal development
  • Lead the national Team to operational excellence in the main areas of B2C, B2B, Used Car Sales and After Sales. Leveraging end-to-end digitalization opportunities in key sales processes 
  • Ensure the best price & discount structure in all sales channels liaising with the European Pricing Team
  • Act as trustworthy point of contact for dealers & agents, both as supporter of their operational business and as partner in annual negotiations, establishing and sharing a collaborative mindset 
  • Design and submit weekly, quarterly, and monthly reports & proposals around performance, organization, operations, P&L, risk etc. in close collaboration with the Finance team
  • Ensure compliance with all national regulation in regard to environment, diversity, labor, safety, and health
  • Represent company in media & other public appearances within Sweden


What you bring along

  • Strategic thinker, capable to timely identify business opportunities within market developments, innovations, and challenges
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational set-up, corporate governance, general management, and macroeconomics of Sweden
  • Solid understanding of successful digitization trends in automotive direct sales and proven ability to lead the organization along the digital change
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding leadership skills, guiding and inspiring the work of cross-functional, international teams
  • Excellent communication both in public and in negotiations, able to consistently reach positive outcomes while building positive relationships across the stakeholder’s map
  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency of the English language. Other European languages are a plus
  • Proven track of long-haul experience in management roles (preferred in senior management positions) ideally in a sales company and/or in the automotive industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in business, engineering, or a comparable area
